Why is our Parent Involvement program important?

Our Parent Involvement program is important because:

  • Our clients often face language barriers and therefore may have difficulty understanding the school system.
  • Our clients often do not feel comfortable in the school setting because they may have not finished school themselves.
  • Many of our clients have recently moved to Texas from out of the country or from a different state and face a cultural shift.
  • Our program provides a support system for these families.
  • Our program helps parents figure out the specific academic needs for each of their children.
  • Our program helps families work together towards one goal - graduating high school and continuing to higher education.
